Mid Week Mischief

          Today I am here with the first post in my new series, Mid Week Mischief.  

          Yesterday morning, mommy found me standing on top of the table (which I am not allowed to be on) and playing with the chandelier. When mommy goes out for the day, she locks up all of my wand toys and the gems hanging from the bottom of the light looked as though they would made a good substitute.  I had to try them out for myself, and they were a lot of fun!

          All was going well, and I was about to get away without any trouble, until I hit one of the dangling gems really hard. They all started swinging and clinking together, making a very suspicious sound. 

          When mommy came out from the living room, I got a long talking to. Then mommy moved the table from underneath the light so I couldn't play on it anymore.

          Then she got me a scratching board that hangs from one of the doorknobs for me to entertain myself with.

Now for my 'Wordless Wednesday' photo, this is a picture of me from the very first night I was brought home. That was a slightly scary day at the time but I am so glad I was adopted into a loving home.

Selfie Sunday!

          I have been looking forward to Sunday all week to share this photo! 

           
          Personally, I believe that it looks as though I am extremely surprised. I think that is the face I would see if I were to look in a mirror, (my cuteness would shock even me!). Or maybe I would use that face if someone else were eating my food. I would be very upset by that!

         My Caturday Art photo today was edited using PicMonkey. My mommy has been thinking of purchasing a photo editing software, and was wondering if you had any suggestions on what to get.  We are new to the world of editing, and any tips would be greatly appreciated!

          Stay warm and bundled up if you go outside today! It is definitely a cold one!

          Happy Sunday! Did you guys have a good Valentine's Day? Mine was great! But it was also pretty exhausting. Mommy snapped a picture of me dozing off in a sunny chair this morning.

Valentines's Day!

          Hey! Happy Valentines Day everyone! Just going to share my Valentine's picture as well as my Caturday Art, and then it is time to cuddle up for my afternoon nap. 

          I thought it would be fun to share some of my favourite ways   I tell my mommy I love her:

1. Constantly licking her. She said something about me having a very exfoliating tongue.  Not sure what that means but I take it to be a good thing!

2. Eat all of the food she gives me.  It would be rude not to, as I am sure she spends a lot of time making the food taste so good.

3. Sit on top of anything she is using. I am sure I am doing her a favour, as she must enjoy petting me more than doing work!

4. Never let mommy out of my view. She might get lonely without me!

5. Meow loudly when I enter a room, even if I don't need anything. Mommy seems to enjoy knowing when I am with her, so I don't jump up and scare her! 

6. This one is my absolute  favourite, cozying up and taking a nap. I am very lucky to have a Mommy who enjoys sitting in the sun with me and taking long, comfy naps. I love you Mommy!

Sorry Wednesday

          I am not sure where this week went.  I was planning on doing a Wordless Wednesday this week but it flew right past me! Sorry Wednesday, I promise I will pay attention and see you next week! I am on for Selfie Sunday this weekend and I cannot wait!

         Today I am just going to share a quick picture of me showing off the lovely "M" I have on my forehead! How many of you have "M's" on your foreheads?

Mischief Monday

          Hello, me again! I am here with a story from a few days ago when I got myself into a little mischief.  My favourite toy to hide in is my pink box mommy bought me from Pet Smart. Mommy often finds me sitting in my box or peeping my head out of the numerous holes. It is made of cardboard and I enjoy scratching the rough edges. 

           I love my box so much, I thought I would show mommy my appreciation for it. I wanted to do something so big that mommy could not miss how much I play with it.

           I worked all night disassembling my box, and I was very pleased with my results. My box was now just two flat pieces with a bunch of tabs and holes. I then pushed it to somewhere mommy could not miss it: on top of my water bowl. 

           When mommy came in, I could not tell if she liked what I did or not... she mentioned something about me being a crazy monkey. I take that as a compliment! I promptly laid down stretched out my belly, and waited for my reward of petting. I was not disappointed! :)

Selfie Sunday

          Selfie Sunday has arrived!  I could not make it to church this morning as it is quite snowy here so I made sure I had some time to say a prayer. 

          For the rest of the day I will be looking forward to watching the rabbits chase around outside as the snow falls.  One of my personal favourite pastimes while sitting on top of the couch and lounging by the fire is to stare at all the different snowflakes as they fall from the sky.

  

After a little activity I will get a bit of shut eye and then get ready to watch the Kitty Bowl this afternoon! 

I can't wait for #TeamCat to win!

Flashback Friday/Pet Parade

          Here today with a Flashback Friday from when I got spayed in October 2014.  The surgery experience was not one I wish to ever repeat, however the vet was very nice and did all he could to make the experience easier on me.  

          After coming home, I scared my mommy a bit because I was not eating or drinking anything.  After a little while I felt a bit better and my appetite returned. Mommy added water to my dry food to soften it up a little, so I could swallow it better.

           To help with the pain I was given some kind of funny tasting medicine, and it did a great job! Within five minutes of coming home I was back to feeling like my usual self, and I was wanting to jump, play and run around. Mommy tried her best to settle me down but she couldn't because I was so excited to be back from the vet! She had to do something to stop me possibly bursting some of the stitches in my tummy, so mommy went shopping and came back with a large cage. When mommy wasn't watching me very closely I had to stay in the cage.  There was enough room for me to move around freely and stretch myself out, but I couldn't hurt my incision. At the time it wasn't the most fun, but it would had been even worse if I had to go back to the vet to get stitches redone! 

          On top of all that, I couldn't resist licking my tummy clean of all of the things they put on it, so I had to wear a cone for a little bit. Again, not very fun but it was worth it in the long run.

Wordless Wednesday!

Hey everyone! 

          A few days after starting this blog, I was made aware of the Selfie Sunday blog hop, hosted by The Cat on My Head. I was very impressed by the participating blogs, and it was a lot of fun overall! The best part was meeting all the cool kitties that stopped by!

          I then started searching around for more hops to participate in, and was very excited about what I found!! 

           There are multiple blog hops I now plan to partake in and am looking forward to. One of these is the Wordless Wednesday, hosted by Blog Paws.

Yoga Class- Balancing Pose

           Hello everyone! Back today with another quick yoga class. We will be learning the balancing pose. This pose conditions me for those potentially high treacherous spots I might encounter during my day!

Step 1-

            Start with both feet on the ground, front paws stretched toward the ceiling. Remember to breathe deeply.

Step 2-

           When you are comfortable, lift up one leg and try your best to keep your balance.

Step 3-

           Enjoy walking in high places you shouldn't be after doing this pose!

Yoga Class- Leg Raise

Hello everyone! Back with another yoga pose to teach you! This is called the leg raise, and is probably one of my favourite positions.  It makes grooming some of those hard to reach spots a little easier. 

Step 1:
          Sit on the floor in any comfortable position.

Step 2:

          Put your weight on your front paws and slowly raise up one of your back legs. The back leg that is not in the air can be used to support your weight.

Step 3: 

          Once in this position, feel free to take a moment to do any necessary cleaning.

Yoga Class- Leg Extention

Hello everyone! Today I have decided to share with you one of my favourite pastimes.  YOGA! I practice yoga every morning when I wake up and I consider myself a professional. The first pose I will be teaching you is called the leg extension. 

To start, you stretch out your leg as far as it can go with out lifting it off the ground.

Once you are comfortable with that, slowly lift up your extended leg as high as it can go.

What do I eat?

Hi guys its me again! Just thought I would pop by this morning to let you know about something I have been noticing lately..... I am always hungry! My owners are very good at feeding me my proper portion sizes, but they don't seem to be doing the job. :(  

My current diet consists of Blue Buffalo Wilderness Adult indoor chicken recipe, as well as a quarter of a can of Blue Buffalo Wilderness Kitten Salmon or Chicken wet food.

What I am eating now is slightly more than the feeding guidelines suggest, but I do use a lot of energy playing all day! Anyone have any suggestions of food that will fill me up?

         I am a Siberian cat that was adopted into my forever home four months ago. I am ten months old now and have learnt many things in my life so far. Some of my favourite activities include playing and eating (I am always hungry!). I sometimes get into trouble, but I am usually a well behaved cat.
